With one shot, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has silenced leaders of all political parties in the state with regard to killing of dreaded Naxalite-turned-mafia leader Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem.
The affidavit filed by home secretary Rajiv Trivedi on behalf of the Telangana government in the high court categorically denied any links between Nayeem and leaders of various political parties. In the same breath, he also gave clean chit to police officials whose names were linked to Nayeem.
In fact, the police themselves have leaked to the media in the past that leaders from all political parties – Uma Madhava Reddy and R Krishnaiah from the Telugu Desam Party, Neti Vidyasagar, Jitta Balakrishna Reddy and Manchireddy Kishan Reddy from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and Sudhir Reddy from the Congress. Besides, the names of top police officials like V Dinesh Reddy and Sriram Tiwari also surfaced, apart from several local police officers of Nalgonda.
And with the filing of affidavit by the Telangana government, all of them can now breathe easy and it is pretty evident that KCR has silenced all of the parties at one go.
The case is now almost diluted and the properties seized from him would go to the government kitty. And the people have become fools!
