Legendary Telugu playback singer SP Balasubramaniam, who has unfortunately embroiled in a controversy involving music maestro Ilayaraja, has requested media, music lovers and fans not to sensationalize the issue.
SPB, who is busy with his US tour, was on Saturday sent a legal notice by Ilayaraja for performing the latter’s compositions without his permission. The issue created a lot of buzz in media which looks to have hurt him. The popular singer took to his Facebook page to request the media and fans to refrain from making the issue sensational.
SP Balasubramaniam wrote: “Dear friends, Please let us stop the futile discussion and move ahead. I do not want my good friend Shri Raja inconvenienced. I do not want my sponsors and concert organizers to get hurt sentimentally and financially. I request all friends, music lovers and especially all media persons, not to make the issue sensational. It is unfortunate. That is all. Show has to go on, life has to move on. In God’s creation all are good and equal. Thank you.”
